Canine Companions Visit Jacksonville Ronald McDonald House

Wagging Tails, Snuggles and Puppy Kisses for the Families of RMHC Jacksonville   Canine Companions for Independence visited with our families on May 7, 2013. They played with kids and gave lots of kisses, making some guests day a little brighter. Tibet, a 16-month-old pup in training, even helped one child at RMHC overcome his fear of dogs after realizing how friendly she was.  “We find the dogs to be a stress reliever for children and families,” said third year Canine Companion trainer Vicky Smith.  Special thanks to Canine Companions for Independence who visits RMHC  Jacksonville once every week!

  The Jacksonville Community Shows Support for RMHC Jacksonville families by taking a "Walk in Their Shoes"  It is often said, that you can never truly understand what someone is going through until you walk a mile in their shoes. Jacksonville Jaguars fill the Jacksonville Ronald McDonald House with Joy!

The Jacksonville Jaguars visited with our families on December 4, 2012. They signed autographs, posed for photos and distributed "JoyJars", plastic jars filled with toys and games which were donated by the Jessie Rees Foundation.  The Jaguars came to spread the messafe of the Jessie Rees foundation, which is NEVER EVER GIVE UP, to the children of RMHC Jacksonville. The families served by RMHC Jacksonville were thrilled to recieve the gifts and to meet  Jacksonville Jaguars Jordan Palmer, Kyle Bosworth, Brett Brackett and  Antonio Dennard      Action News came and captured this very special visit.   Click here to watch the news coverage of...

Fries With That Wine another success!

   Do you want "Fries With That Wine"?     Jacksonville's young professionals had a great time at this unique fundraiser that pairs wine with fries, cheeseburger, chicken nuggets and more fast food favorites.  The event was hosted by RMHC Jacksonville's young professionals association, the Discovery Circle and raised more than $28,000.   Be sure to check out the photos from this one-of-a-kind event by clicking here.
